Juli Ashton is Justine Jones, and the Devil wants her. Why, we never really find out, but I guess without her there'd be no movie. What follows are a series of vignettes interrupted by the Devil's ranting...

There are so many unrecognizable guys names in this film, that the scene pairing will be probably be vague on the male side. Also, not all actresses got their picture with their name, so some holes may exist here as well. My apologies if any are wrong.

Tammi Ann

This starts out innocently enough with Tammi Ann vigorously amusing herself anally with a big dildo, until the Devil turns her into a chicken, which he munches on throughout the rest of the show. Tammi Ann fans, beware, she is not in the movie for very long. However, she looks AWESOME. Nothing like the trailer park trash I've come to expect from her. Amanda Addams/TT Boy and Juli Ashton/Two Old Guys

Amanda starts the scene by eating fire, and ending it by eating TT Boy. The sex here is spirited, but the editing is a little distracting. I can't stop thinking that this woman reminds me of Sulka. Her tits are way too big, but we've come to expect that. TT Boy fortunately wears glasses so we don't have to stare into his idiot visage.

Again, this scene has a manic energy which has a lot to do with the editing, though the performers (especially Ariana) are very energetic, even if the camera was just locked down.

Each girl (except Juli) gets two guys to amuse herself with. The standard fare occurs except when we get 3 DPs all happening at the same time. That's pretty inventive.

All the guys cum on Juli's tits and body, though it is impossible to tell who is who due to (a) you never see the guy's faces, and (b) the cumshots are edited wildly to give some sort of "cum shower" look. Fairly effective, but too short, and it never lingers.

It sure didn't seem like 8 scenes but it was.

The wife and I watched it last night, and really didn't like it too much. I watched it again today to get the scene pairings, etc. and I liked it a *little* better, but not much.

Time was Greg Dark could make a movie without crazy editing. There was no crazy editing in New Wave Hookers or Let Me Tell Ya Bout White Chicks or Deep Inside Vanessa Del Rio. There was hot sex and lots of it. Even the previous two DMJ movies he was responsible for were conventionally edited... and I think this worked in their favor (though DMJ 4 is by no means a great movie...)

What is missing from this movie is purpose. It may as well have been a loop carrier featuring Juli Ashton. Previous installments of the series had a story to tell, had something more to offer than sex.

Pachard's DMJ2 offered so much story you almost saw the sex as secondary. There was purpose and a romantic longing to Scratch, due in no small part to Jack Wrangler's superior talents. In DMJ 3 and 4, we get Lois Ayers trying to escape from Hell, were she feels she doesn't belong. She gets killed in a freak sex accident (PT nails her too hard in the doggie position and she cracks her head open) and sent to hell. The movies deal with her getting out...

Drama is conflict. Part 2 had the Devil trying to get Justine. Parts 3 and 4 had Justine trying to escape hell. Part 5 had... well, not much. But it did have a lot of cuts.

The film was unsatisfying to me as an entry into the DMJ franchise. Technically, everything was of superior quality. Sound, lighting, picture quality... even Rip Hymen learned his lines and delivered them with a bit of skill not usually seen from him.

Dark seems to have lost his sense of humor and has gone towards this dark, death metal kinda thing. Gone are the perversely hummable themes of Johnny Jump-Up. In their place, the drone of the Ninn boys' crunch guitars... and this has been the case since Walter left the band...

The Roman/Greek orgy scene was the highlight for me. It showed everyone going at it full force and no one was standing around. A clear case where editing helped move a scene along and covered up any sort of transition between positions...

I would recommend this as a rental, but certainly don't buy it.

I wish I could giveit a better review, but it is still a decent rental, and you'll probably like it... I tend to over-intellecutalize sometimes, but I stick with the 2.95
