I watched two vids recently, and both were a big disappointment (I had
my hopes quite high for these -- your mileage may vary), but I'm
posting reviews anyway. Not as much detail about who did what to
whom, because I either didn't recognize the "stars" or didn't
remember them by the time I wrote this.
REVIEW: Anal Queen, 1993 Fantastic Pictures. Directed by John
T. Bone. Starring Anabel Chong and a host of others whose names
I can't remember... (oh, yeah, Mark Wallace and Ron Jeremy are in
it too, along with Tom Byron, I think)
This video had everything going for it, as far as I was
concerned. A Fantastic Pictures release, John T. Bone directing,
Anabel Chong (whom I had heard such great things about that I had
to see) starring, and the promise of triple penetration
(illustrated on the box, along with some great looking facial cum
shots).
Unfortunately, the video inside the box didn't deliver the heat
advertised on the outside, nor did it live up to my expectations
for John T. Bone's work, or the reputation of Chong.
There were technical problems like poor audio mixing (music too
loud -- and WHERE do they get that shit anyway?), some very poor
edit choices, and some substandard camera work. In one scene
(the final gang banging scene with Anabel and four guys), shot on
a four poster bed, one of the bed posts (a big gold post) kept
getting in the way of the shot. In another, the camera person had
the wrong framing, nearly missing the anal fuck by trying to get a cover
shot. Stupid.
But, I am getting ahead of myself. Here is a short (I hope)
summary of the various scenes (the details of which are already
fading for me).
The premise of this video is that Anabel's husband is having
dreams that she wants it in the ass and he won't give it to her
(only whores take it that way -- wives don't). The sex scenes
are a series of dream sequences by the guy.
1. Hubby looks sees Anabel with some other guy and another
asian female. He leaves and we get a threesome. There's
some pretty good action here, though I wouldn't give Chong
very high marks as a fellatrix -- she rarely gets more than
just the head of the guy's cock in her mouth. There's some
girl-girl, the guy takes both women in all three holes, and
he really administers a pounding to both. Chong is doubled
when the other woman straps on a black dildo, taking her
vaginally while the guy plows her backdoor. Then we get a
rather interesting switch, with the guy getting boned by a
fake dick (worn by Chong, I think) while the other lady
sucks him. That is followed by the guy spraying his cum
over the faces of his partners.
2. Next up, Mark Wallace and a light brown haired woman I
didn't recognize. The hubby thinks he's awake and taps his
wife on the shoulder only to find it's Mark Wallace in his
bed. Then the woman shows up. They both tell the hubby to
lighten up a little. He leaves and the remaining couple
starts to get it on. What follows is an amazingly gymnastic
display of cunnilingus. Mark literally picks his partner up
off the bed and pulls her pussy to his mouth. They
eventually end up in a hot 69, when we cut to:
3. Hubby in bathroom with Anabel and an ash-blond woman. The
interesting feature of this is that the caucasian woman has
very unusual labia, which, as the scene progresses, begin to
visibly flop about. She does a nice reverse cowgirl which
suddenly becomes reverse cowgirl anal without any transition
(one cover shot of Chong kissing the guy). The finishing
shot is him taking the caucasian dog style in the ass with
Chong underneath waiting for the jizz, which she gets. Nice
facial with some eating.
4. At this point, I don't remember if we go back to Wallace and
his partner or not. Anyway, we next see Anabel decked out
like a queen (get it? Anal Queen) on a throne next to a big
four poster (see above for problems with this set design)
with gilded posts and a rather expensive looking bedspread.
Included among the "Queen's" court are the Hedgehog himself,
Tom Byron, the above mentioned Mr. Wallace, and some guy I
didn't recognize. Needless to say, Chong gets fucked in all
available openings, including a four way with two in her
pussy, Mark W. in her ass, and the unknown (to me anyway)
guy in her mouth. This SHOULD have been the key moment in
the video. Frankly, it lacked heat of any kind. Even the
big four way facial at the end didn't provide much. All
four guys did their impression of Randy West in the jizz
department. In addition, they seemed rather bored with the
whole thing. It was a stunt, not a sex scene.
So, to sum up, this video had lots of potential, but did not
deliver much. In my opinion, it would be worth a rental on 99
cent day, but nothing more than that. On a five point scale,
with five being the top, I'd give this video a 2, just because of
the great facial in the second (bathroom) sex scene.
REVIEW: "Greek Week" (1994, Cal Vista). I don't remember who
directed. Sarah Jane Hamilton, Sally Layd, Bionca Trump (I don't
recall seeing her in the vid -- are there two Bioncas working in
porn today?), Tom Byron, Alex Sanders, Lilli Xene, and a bunch of
people I don't remember or didn't recognize.
I'm not going through this scene by scene. Frankly, I'm trying
to forget the whole thing, I'm so pissed off.
I didn't notice the Cal Vista label on the box when I picked it
up. If I had, I would have been skeptical, as my opinion of
their product has never been very good. A person looking at the
box this vid comes in would have thought that SJH was a major
player. She's in ONE scene, and that's not a very long one.
It's also well into the video, almost an afterthought. It was a
fairly hot scene, though I didn't see her squirt (someone else
did in a later scene though, Lilli Xene?). I also saw something
I haven't seen in a while: cum dodging, which ruined an
otherwise o.k. opening scene by preventing what would have been
an excellent facial.
Most of the actresses in this on looked like escapees from a Russ
Meyer film -- lots of big floppy tits (and titty fucking, some of
which wasn't badly done). But, most of them were obviously
ACTING (not all, but most), rather than generating any real lust.
Same for the guys, with a few exceptions. This reminded me of
much of the junk produced in the 80's before the amateur
revolution forced porn producers to think in different ways.
This video has production problems aplenty, beginning with the
audio. The set was obviously constructed in some sort of
warehouse, and it sounds like it. In stead of small-room
ambience, it sounds like an auditorium. The camera work and
editing left a lot to be desired as well. There were also some
very funny continuity problems. Sally Layd is blowing some guy,
and we keep cutting between two angles. No problem, except that
in one, the guy has his boxer shorts on, and in the other he
doesn't. That's just STUPID. Script continuity is scarce in
this porn-disaster as well.
Can you say "bait and switch?" On the five point scale, this one
gets a 1.5, and that's only because SJH is in it, even if it is
only in one scene. This vid has it's moments, but too few and
too far between. Recommendation? Don't bother, even on 99 cent day.
